The deal is thought to be worth 29.5 million euros (£23.5million), a price which could increase to as much as 35.5m (£28.5million) euros if Alves helps the Catalans to league or Champions League success. The 25-year-old has spent four years with Sevilla since signing from Brazilian club Bahia in 2003, and has been strongly linked to Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and Spurs at various points over recent seasons.
